What Is an Addressable Gas Detection System?

In a traditional fixed gas detection system, each gas detector may require individual wiring for power and communication back to the main gas detection controller.

With the TOC-750 addressable gas detection system, it works differently.

Each gas detector connects using only two wires.

Those same two wires provide:

• Power to the gas detector
• Communication between the detector and the gas detection controller

This means you do not need a separate external power supply for every detector.

Even better, the gas detectors are connected in a daisy-chain configuration.

The cable runs from the TOC-750 controller to the first detector, then to the next detector, and continues all the way to the last detector on the network.

There is no need to run an individual cable from every gas detector all the way back to the control panel.
